• Do wear black for an evening affair if the event is black tie.

• Do keep dyed shoes in the closet with the bridesmaid dress.

• Do take advantage of the "Bring 'em back--shoes, that is--we'll dye
'em black" policy. Don't, however, wear dyed shoes if there's any chance
of snow or rain. The color is likely to bleed.

• Do carry a small evening bag and don't over stuff it.

• Do sew Velcro on strapless bras and on your dress to keep everything in place.

• Don't wear a casual watch with very dressy clothes.

• Don't wear a casual jacket over a fancy dress.

• Don't wear anything too tight, too sexy or too see-through.

• Don't wear uncomfortable shoes.

• Don't upstage the bride in something that's too attention getting.

Respondents from 70 countries around the world have voted online to declare that Americans are the world's worst-dressed tourists followed by German travelers who came second. But that’s not a worry. Here are some tips to help out Americans with their dressing when they are on a trip:

- If you are planning to pack leggings in your luggage, then go for darker leggings of good quality. Wear them with a lightweight tunic or longer shirt that falls below your derriere.
- Never wear sneakers with summer or light dresses. Soft, comfortable dresses in floral prints should be decked up with comfortable, open-toed sandals. Go for prints that are comfortable and look good instead of looking odd just to stand out from the rest.
- Don’t go for fanny pack round your waist which often suggests that you do not want people to give attention to that place. Instead, it is advisable for women to go for long white skirt that flatters your figure and pair them with neutrals to blend in, not stand out, in a crowd. Never dress in loud prints for attention.
- Always carry some one or two heavy dress even if you are going for a summer trip. Take along a crop cardigan or shrug that blends with the colors of your outfit as the weather may suddenly turn cool. Just be prepared to beat the weather.
- If you are planning to wear jeans, then go with cute, detailed sandal and classic tops that are flirty and fun. Never wear frayed and torn jeans that bare more skin than they cover.

So, dress something that is stylish yet comfortable and makes you stand out from the crowd. Mix and match different colors that make you look stylish at budget-friendly price.
