To Sell Or Not To Sell... Kamali evening dress

There have been a few things that I have been holding onto as my "just in case" items: I keep saying I will only ebay them if I really need the money. Well, last week I got into a little fender bender, and the money that I had saved for a little vacation went to my insurance deductible. grr. anyway, this is the first I would be willing to part with: a Norma Kamali satin evening/cocktail dress. I'm guessing early to mid nineties? unfortch I couldn't get a good pic of the label, but it seems to fit.

Thoughts? Is it something worth holding on to for longer? Believe it or not (well, I'm sure you will...) I got it for $1 last October in the costume section of a Salvation Army. Ideas on pricing? The only wear I can see is a little fading on the underarm seam.

I'm not good on "name" items. I can tell you, though, to take a pic of the label from further back and use photo edit programs to crop out the extra and enlarge it. Even if it's a bit fuzzy, collectors and tag shoppers will want to see it in some form.

If you do ebay it, start a bit on the higher side so you don't get it snatched up for a low price.

i LOVE Norma Kamali, and that dress is gorgeous, imo, yum yummy

you really need a GOOD photo of the label, very important for her merchandise

my (ex) roomie had a gorgeous Kamali from the late 80's with that fitted dropped waistline, it was fabulous on and hers was just grey knit, not jaw-dropping satin

just can't tell you HOW important your tag photo is, though.

and good luck, it is gorgeous

(did i tell you, btw, i think its gorgeous????)

I've found that actualy scanning the label works best with the combo of my mediocre photography skills and poorly lighted apartment. The dress fits me like a glove too. I know I'd never wear it though... *le siiiggghhh!*

This is the other I'm debating listing but have no clue how to price:

Not too impressive until you get to this:

It's a very wearable size, too (well, except for munchkin me). I dunno though... this one is like my holy grail. I just like having it in my possession...

if you don't wear it, sell it!
One of my favorite finds was A DVF wrap dress. It's a red print, silk jersey, it never wrinkles- NEVER, I can dress it up or down, but it is one of my favorites because I wear it a ton!
