TODAY\'s the DAY LIZZIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"No more classes
no more books
no more student's dirty looks."

Only two more days to go for Lizzie :)
and as another song more for grownups (sort of) goes...

"school's out for summer...
school's out FOR EVER!"
(and the BOTH apply)

No more :snowman: snow days
No more :barf: sending people to the nurse's office
No more :violins: "assemblies"
No more :info: to parents for kids saying :censored2: in class

Now just....

:headbang::bouncy::roll:

Here's a toast :booze:

Sorry Lizzie, I could not NOT mention it!

Well, I know on 3 days to go Lizzie was "giddy with excitement", she must be reaching the delirium level now.

Lizzie - is there going to be a retirement party?

Sue

Yippee, Lizzie!! I know you are Sooooooooo excited.

I was trying to remember that little ditty yesterday and could not for the life of me think of it.

Now, Chris, I can't get it out of my head. LOL

HaHa! I can give a dirty look when provoked!

Guys, how sweet of you to have a beer with me to celebrate this big day. I'm buying!!! :booze::booze::booze: for everyone here!

I've had 3 parties, the school staff, the children, and my best friends. (And now this one makes 4!)

Excited really is NOT the word. I've been either working or going to school, and usually both, since I was 15 - that's 35 years, and I'm really ready for this.

In celebration, I'm getting ready to hit the road, but I'm not sure where to just yet. Any suggestions?

Lizzie

a road trip to visit every single person on this board and buy a piece of vintage in each town, and take a picture of it like those people who steal lawn ornaments and send pictures back to show you what the lawn ornament did on its trip. except you would be posting on the board remotely what you got from each place LOL. Just kidding. that would take too long.

Oh, you mean SERIOUS suggestions!

There is no one I respect more than a teacher. Thank you, Lizzie, for touching the lives of so many children along the way. You go, girl!!!

Jody

To add to Jody's comments...and doing it so fashionably. I remember Lizzie saying her hard to please 5th graders strongly approved of her 60s stylings :) Gosh wish my 5th grade teacher who wore curlers, and dearfoams to school would have gotten with that program!

My first grade teacher wore 60's clothes - like there was anything beyond that.

my 5th grade teacher who wore curlers, and dearfoams to school

WHERE in the world was a teacher allowed (or have the 'fashion' nerve) to wear curlers to work?

What are "dearfoams"??

Congrats, Lizzie!

I say Europe is the way to go, of course. If you won't go, I will go in your place.:cool2:

Janine

I have two words for you....World's Longest Garage Sale.

Oh, wait, that's four words. Darn school budget cutbacks!

Cheers!

Jenn

Congrats and best wishes, Lizzie!
(Now starts that period of your life, when you begin to wonder how you ever fitted a job into your busy schedule! )
