Too casual to be a gown, so is it just a maxi dress?

Hi All,

I need help again *smile*

60s to 70s gold glitter maxi dress, by Ruffians, British Crown Colony of Hong Kong.

Gown? Maxi? Cover up? Thoughts?

I'm inclined to go with late '60s but if you can show pics of the labels it would help - it might be early '70s. Thank you.

It would be a hostess gown - evening dress for at home.

I am more inclined to go with the very early 70s on this one...very disco in flavour with the hood and the lurex.
As Nicole mentioned the pics of the label do often help. Looks wonderful!!!

Here is the label shot. I found the company on Trademarkia, dated 75 - 89, but that is not always accurate since names and items at times can go for years without being trademarked.

Another vote for 70s.
This reminds me of something in my long ago wardrobe, the fabrication, the stripes and colors.
Mine was short, and there was no hood.

Agree with '70s, I'll go with mid '70s - labels are so helpful for dating pieces.

Agree with Jonathan on calling it a Hostess gown but I would also call it an evening dress.
