Too Late to List? Date? Keywords?

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to get caught up after my working vacation and I was wondering if you all though it was too late to list this dress?

I'm also kind of stumped for a date and keywords. In fact I'm not quite sure why I bought it in the first place. Guess it must have seemd like a good idea at the time!

Let me know what you think. Thanks,

oooh ooh!!!

OK. A few things.

1) I've watched a couple of dresses of this type lately. One is currently heading towards a quiet close at under $10 (not half as well photographed as this) so *possibly* it's a little late for the summer-splendour type dress such as this. But it does depend on labels and keywords.

2) Keywords - this seems to me to qualify as a 50s 'Sari' dress, what with the asymmetrical drape and south-east-Asian style red & gold fabric. Lizzie - help me out here - but didn't a number of designers do this kind of flared dress with a 'sari' shoulder, including Greta Plattry, Tina Leser and some Hawaiian manufacturers.

3) is it kind of short? - could it even be c. 1960?

and finally

*I* like these, but without a Shaheen or McInery label in them, I'm not sure how they do generally.

Hope this rambling is of some help!

When I saw the picture, I thought Plattry. I've also seen a Carolyn Schnurer that was similar. It's a fantastic dress. Is there a label?

Hi Lin and Lizzie,

Thanks for the help. No labels in this one, unfortunately. And, yes, it did seem a little bit short to me as well. Maybe I should hold it back until Jan or Feb and it will do better. Any other thoughts will be appreciated!

Striking photo with the black white and red (my wedding colors, thanks!).

I'd wait until later, unfortunately. It may not bring the attention it deserves now.

Yes, the hemline does look original.

I think I'll hold it until early next year. The fabric is beautiful and silk or a silk blend.

All the help is appreciated! thanks,
