Tooled Leather Set ?

This set is named Aragon from Mexico. I am thinking 1940s possibly.
The shoes are in nice condition except one shoe has a weakened spot on the side. Does anyone know if this can be fixed by a cobbler? Still useable but for lasting preservation?

it depends on your cobbler ~ we have a pretty good one, now, and he'll say as we bring something in, "yes i can", or "no, i cannot."

i think they're all incredible! do they all match? or are they all from the same estate, but not necessarily matching pieces??

i would be inclined to sell them separately, rather than as a set, esp since you'd be dealing with the shoe size issue....that limits your market.

Thank you. I bought them all together and they do match so think they are a set. I may consider this. The shoes are an 8 about. Didn't think about that but you are correct. The cobbler told me to take them in but thought I may ask here first. Not bad at all but could be reinforced I think. Do you think 40s or 50s? I actually bartered for this set.

I would also have said early 50's, something about how low cut the sides are (the more revealing - the later, in general) and the logo - is that a sticker or stamped?
It's a good size - a UK 6 is the bestseller here (it's related to the average height nowadays) which yours are not far off - that sort of damage can certainly be re-inforced with a sewn patch to the inside but you want a good repair that won't create weaker spots where the new stitching is - that only comes with a decent cobbler!
Personally, I would try selling them as a set first with a good price, then split to bags & shoes if they don't move.

Thank you. Good idea Melanie. I am one of those that cannot bear to even tear out ads from old magazines.
