Tootal rayon scarf dating?

The label on this scarf is most similar to the 1940s one in the label resource; with the exception that it doesn't have the "marked tebilized" wording, it's identical.

I did figure when I found this it was 30s or 40s. Is it safe to say 40s even though the label isn't identical? If not, is there a better date?

It measures 11" by 54" including the knotted fringe.

I can also take a better picture of the label for the resource if that would be helpful.

Hmm well there are a lot of Tootal scarves out there with the same or very similar label, but most without dates. Most of the similar ones I found in a similar yellow and red paisley colourway with knotted fringe are dated to the 50s and 60s. Any opinions on that?

I don't think I've ever seen a '30s Tootal rayon scarf, although I'm sure they exist. Like plousia, most of the ones I've found are '50s-60s and I always date as most recent possible so even if they were earlier, I'd be inclined to put them as '50s-60s to be safe. Yours seems a bit longer than usual so I think that points to a more recent date so if I were you, I'd go with '50s-60s until you can do a proper analysis by length. I wish I had some measurements on file to help with this.

Thanks very much, that's helpful. There are so many bits and pieces I know nothing about and the gaps in my knowledge are far wider and more numerous than I imagined. But the knowledge base is getting built up little by little and what I've learned here from you lovely people has been immensely helpful.

Plousia is me responding to my own thread after doing a bit of research, LOL.
