Toronto\'s Smallest House is Up for Sale!

I can't help but share this super cute little house! If I lived anywhere near Toronto and was all by myself I would live there in a heartbeat!

This house, located near the intersection of Dufferin Street and Rogers Road is believed to be Toronto's smallest house. Occupying what used to be a driveway, it's a one-bedroom, one-bathroom house that sits on a parcel of land 7.25 feet (2.2 metres) wide and 113.67 feet (34.6 metres) long and has an interior area of just under 300 square feet (under 28 square metres). The asking price is $179,900.!!!!

We used to live not too far from that house at Dufferin and College. It used to be a garage and the couple who owned the house somehow managed to get a severance and turn their garage into a house and resell their home. I recall that house came up for sale about 15 years ago for about 60,000

179 thousand????? That is insane. If anyone is looking for a large house there is one about 40 miles form here ..hundred years old 4 thousand square feet and the asking price is about twenty thousand less.
I don't know how you folks do it in places where home prices are more than 100,000.

The Toronto Star had an article about this house
awhile back with some pics of the inside. It was really
quite cute, but I ended up with the biggest feeling of
claustrophobia when I read it.

Yep, house prices in Toronto and the surrounding areas
in Ontario are ridiculous, however not nearly as bad
as house prices in Vancouver. That little house in
Toronto would sell for around $600,000+ in BC
