Tribal style ivory necklace?

Any info y0u would have would be greatly appreciated (year, style, etc) =)
I am wondering if this is ivory or perhaps bone (is where a way to tell?)
The big round pieces are hollow. There is a bit of greening on the metal parts.

The beads are bone, not ivory - the grain is large. Besides, this necklace is middly 80s and I don't think you could buy ivory by then.
