Hi everybody! i'm new. i discovered this site and i fell in love with it. I have 2 questions for you.

1. in your opinion, are these Trifari black and white round earrings from 1960s or from 1970s? They are Trifari crown c (copyright), so i know (i read it in a book) that they can't be dated before 1950 and after 1980, because there is the c of copyright. Then the back is rough so they have to be after 1960. so are they from 60s or 70s?

2. i bought this vintage crocodile handbag. it is marked inside "the martin made in england". it has two internal pockets and one pocket outside with a little mirror as you can see in the photos. the seller told me it was from 1950s. what do you think about it? is it from 50s? i don't know..

Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I can't see your photo clearly enough to tell about the earrings. What type of finding do they have? Is it a clip? or a post? You won't see Trifari with the © mark prior to the mid-1950's but it could be used much later. Trifari was produced up until the 1990's - and may still be sold today through the HSN but the signatures are different. Check Researching Costume Jewelry for different signatures and more information:

Again, the handbag photo is a little bit blurry but the style looks right for the 1950;s to me.

in the background in the shot of the purse interior there is a dustbag but it's new, not vintage, so it can't help.

can you explain me the elements that suggest that the earrings are from 70s?

Your bag is really lovely, and I agree with 50s. I think it is earlier 50s rather than later. The hardware styling, both the rings & hinges, and the clasp, have an earlier feel to them. No specific "rule" I can point to, but comparing this to the many bags I've had from the 40s, 50s, and 60s, it looks closer to the earlier part of the era.
