Trying to date hat and hat box

Hi, this hat and hat box belonged to my Great Aunt, who I think was born around 1910. Was hoping someone would be able to help date for me. She probably married in early 1940’s and could possibly have been her wedding hat, though she always wore a hat when going out. Any help would be appreciated.

While I am not familiar with the milliner, I agree that the hat is circa the 1970s. Definitely not 1940s. The hat box is a traveling hat box or hat luggage, and looks early 20th century maybe 1920s to 1930s. It could be earlier than 1920s (or newer than 1930s) but I would need to see the bottom of the inside and also know the dimensions of the box. Is it cardboard or is it leather?

Thanks so much for your reply. The case is leather and measures approx 41cm across and 38cm front to back. It is approx 21cm deep.
