trying to date women's workwear - 1940s but with serged seams?

Hello VFG forums - this is my first ever post on this forum. Hello!

I thrifted a women's vintage boiler suit (woven cotton, grey-blue in colour) and I'm dying to figure out its age. It has clearly had the front zipper replaced, but otherwise it looks 1940s in terms of construction and tailoring. The thing that's throwing me is the serged seams - I know workwear was manufactured with sergers before the 1950s, but I don't have a lot of experience with workwear from this era. Any insights appreciated! I'm trying to upload a pic but keep getting an error message. Will try again later. :)

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing pictures. Error messages can be caused by photos that are too "heavy" for the system to handle - it has happened to me more than once. Maybe try re-sizing?

Made me think of Rosie the Riveter in Norman Rockwell's original 1943 image! I know she is wearing dungarees rather than all
in one overalls but it just struck me as having a similar look.
