Trying to find date of Lord and Taylor by Brynmoor Coat with fur colar.

Hello,

This is my first post to the forum. I love purchasing vintage items and I'm having a hard time feeling confident in the era an item was made unless I find a picture of it somewhere. Would love to get your suggestions on couple of items.

First off is this amazing Lord and Taylor wool jacket w/ a fur collar. I'm guessing this is 1960's era, but would love to hear your thoughts on when this was made, value and other interesting details.

Lovely coat. You are correct that it's '60's. I think it's right around 1963. The Union Label in the coat was used from 1963 - 1974. It looks like it's wool but I can't tell from the photo what type of fur the collar is.

The best way to determine value is to look for similar items for sale on member's websites or look at closed auctions on eBay.

Thank you for the quick reply! Really excited about learning more vintage clothing knowledge.

This jacket was an amazing find today. The whole piece is in mint condition and looks like it was probably only worn a handful of times. I've attached a couple more photos that show a close up of the fur. I'm getting fox fur with the color and texture but I could be wrong.
