This is one of the items my sister wants me to sell for her. Does it look like 60s or could it be 50s? Thanks for your advice.

Adolph schuman i believe is a later label (70s?) and the dry clean only label would say later to me too, even into the 70s and 80s.....but would need to double check with the label resource to be definitive on that, or check Maija's site on Lilli Ann.

This is from the Lilli Ann site:

""In the 1970s, Lilli Ann production became focused primarily on career clothing. Designer Jeanne Taylor developed the "Career Lilli Ann" line, experimenting with new textiles such as Ultrasuede.

The company's productions became very diffuse at this time. Along with the career line, petite, knits, special collections for department stores, an "Adolph Schuman for Lilli Ann" line, and more were marketed in an ever-larger array. ""

So I would say 70s at the earliest on this one...

Thanks, Chris. This particular label is not in the label resource, but the labels that are there look a lot older than this one. Maybe the suit is 70s to 80s. Too bad the jacket is not fitted. Those are hot right now.

I just added to my original comment...

so what if its not fitted...the velvet (or whatever material it is in teh collar) gives it a slight equestrian influence that is hot right now to) and its tweed to, from what it looks like...

Remember, just because a cut is "hot" it doesn't flatter every single figure, and some people may not like the look....

Another vote for 80s Ellen. Very sharp and really rather a classic
timeless style....great fabric also!
