two more older dresses (slips? wedding? underwear?)

from the same lot I posted last week with the victorian stuff.

These look sort of deco to me? but just not sure. The non-lace one is very sheer and light with mother of pearl buttons and hooks in the back and the floral embroidery.

the SUPER lacy one has a cotton feeling sort of inner cummerbund at the waist and corset style closures and tiers of lace

I soaked both (the rust was there before on some of the metal hooks) and its amazing how nice they came out

any help is welcome and thanks so much

I can't get a good handle on the size of these by the way they are displayed. They look Edwardian to me.
My first thought as they come off looking quite small from these photos that they might have been a Communion or Confirmation gown.
The layered net lace one is particularly lovely.

I agree with Mary Jane that it may be for a young teenager for a confirmation dress or other another very special occasion. Those were the things that tended to be saved. Is it possible to see it buttoned and hung up if you don't have a small enough mannequin? Maybe near something where we can get a sense of proportion. The inner waist band you described is typical of 1910's dressmaker construction.
I, too, would like to hear what others say.

thanks so much to all

I have a snow day today! so I'll try to keep these on a mannequin if they fit, or at least hanging for better scale.

The lot has a ton of baby/kid clothes too- christening gowns/robes and some other fancier stuff. Another category about which I know nothing so you may see some more posts!

and here are these two, on a hanger (I dont have a small enough mannequin)

Thank you for the images. What a darling dress. I can see a wide pink or blue silk ribbon sash worn with it. Yes, 1910's.
