April 29 in New York City is the day for the 16th Fashion & Textile Auction Check out the catalog (major many-eras eye candy) at http://augusta-auction.com/ (You can bid on line.)
Lady's and girl’s day dresses 1825 & 1855
Pauline Trigere lame party dress 1980’s
red satin corset from 1890’s
And then for something completely different - If you live in the LA area you can view the items for the Michael Jackson auction, (starts April 22) although I understand he is fighting the sale in court. You could buy a framed letter on White House stationery from Ronald Reagan noting Jackson's "adherence to traditional values ... an inspiration to all of us." No surprise that there’s a lot of odd stuff (to the left a Thai military uniform’s ermine cape.)
