Hi there!
Im new to this site and I was hoping to get help dating a faux fur coat I've found in a charity shop, in great condition.

There are two labels inside: Tyber Belgium and The Taube Collection London.

There is an open hem lining which also has the word Taube stitched into it. There are thin lapels and hook and eyelet fastenings. I've attached pictures of all the above.

Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Lainey when worn are the sleeves full length or cropped?

The metallic label and font style is prevalent in late 1960s to 1970s garments. The sleeve length may help narrow it down.

Hey!
Thanks for getting back to me! The sleeves are not a 3/4 length, more of a full-length when worn but are ever so slightly cropped and hang just above my wrists when standing straight.
Also I'm a size 10 and this coat is a 14 according to label so could be meant to be slightly more cropped if I'm making any sense!?

You can use the fit and the marked size to help date it as well - I find 70's sizes run 2 sizes smaller than today's. A 60's garment tends to be only 1 size out, in my experience.

Worth noting I am referring to UK sizes - it may not have changed at the same rate in other countries...

Hi there, Nice. I agree with 70s with those care symbols and more specifically based on the lining, shape, and style I would guess later 70s.
