Type and Date of Saks Hat

Hello all! I’m hoping for help on the date of this hat as well as the style/what to call it. A tam? I’ve looked up Saks 34th, and that store was open between 1902 and 1965. It seems to be made from wool with a rope bow and has an interior grosgrain ribbon. Thanks so much!

Hmm. This one is *likely* an early-mid 60s hat. I read that Saks-34 closed in the mid 60s.

oh, type of hat... it's a variation of a beret.
