Unbranded Leather Jacket

Anyone have any thoughts on this jacket? Could it maybe be home made? There are no stamps anywhere to be found. The only thing I can tell is that the snaps are made by Brooklyn Stimpson". Would love to know more and possibly get a date range. Thank you so much!

No labels of any kind? Hmm. From the style and colour and stitching, I'm thinking it could be '70s. Brooklyn Stimpson have been around for a long time, so that doesn't help. Other than that, all I can add is that it's unlikely to be home made because few home sewers have industrial sewing machines, especially if you go back a few decades. Those who do are often professionals who've worked with them in factories etc and prefer them. A domestic machine simply isn't strong enough to sew much leather.

That makes sense. Do you know if there's a special name for a jacket that has no lining? It seems odd
