hi. This shoe is in dreadful condition but do any of you know what kind of shoe and how old it may be. Thanks. I have multiple photos but this is the only one that uploads so it may be impossible for anyone to tell.

Hi Tammy you can resize your photos smaller to make it possible to upload them. If your computer has a 'clipping' program I find this works well.
All I can see is a lot of very heavy duty nails in the sole? which indicate either very early sportswear ( like studs) or 19thC mill clogs, which often had nails added to their wooden soles for grip.

thank you pinkcoke. I am having to work with only an iPhone at this time. I’ll try different things so see if I can post the pics.

Its a moccasin (loafer) construction and a knitted textile lining, so its not that old - not earlier than the 1920s - more likely 1940s/50s. The nails are construction - probably for attaching the heel to a leather sole?

Thank you Jonathan. I was thinking the same. The shoe size is small and hints of gold color still on parts of the side so I was thinking a woman’s shoe of some sorts. But I had no idea. Anytime we dig around our house we find pieces of history in one form or another. Thanks again.
