unique dress but???

hi, any idea as to the date and fabric on this dress? there is a zipper slit up side and belt is actually attached to front waistline which makes it nice as buckle stays in place nicely. Thank you up front.

Brocaded ribbon trim was used a lot in the early 70s, as were knife pleated fabrics.

I am wondering as the slit is so high if originally there might not have been matching "hot pants" shorts to it.

I would say early 70s too.

I agree with early 70s and that it probably had matching hot pants with it. It looks like a gold lame' to me.
