Ok, I know, it came out last week, but I don't like crowds, especially of screaming kids!
We took the wee one (ok, he's 6) out for a family date tonight to see the movie Horton Hears a Who...and LOVED IT!
They stuck fairly well to the Suess story line, with some elaborations that were acceptable (with the exception of a Japanese animae fight scene in Horton's imagination). Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell weren't too, well, typical them, if you know what I'm saying. It was easy to forget that it was Ace Ventura and The Office dude.
The jokes were "gettable" to the wee one, but still funny to Mom and Dad. Plenty of action and lots of heart.
Oh, and Carol Burnett! I love her!
So, grab the family, short and not so short for a matinee and some quality family time!
