Gorgeous goodies, as always, Hollis. At first I thought the red jacket was mod or 60s and was surprised to find out it's 50s. I haven't been round the block that long, but I do find the design very progressive - unfortunately not my size :(
 
Oh yes - it was handy to find the photo of the ad for that jacket, it was re issued as it were in the 90s I think, but this one has the older imported fabric label ( and fabric!) as well as the Coat and Suit label plus the buckles are 50s manufacture as well.

Hollis, when the updates newsletter fell into my inbox the other day I nearly had to email you there and then to let you know how fantastic I thought it all was, but forgot.

So I shall let you know now: I wanted pretty much everything from this update!! Curse my credit card and it's limit :flaming:
 
Hi Hollis,

Gorgeous selection from you as always! The beaded dress is a very interesting style, haven't seen too many with that particular cut, must have been a popular look for a brief time...early blouson.

I'm rather partial to the hat, I must say as I adore 40s hats and this one is particularly elegant!

The red shirred dress is very Marilyn Monroe...to have the figure to wear that style again...sigh!!!
