USPS site has been invaded!

Have you noticed a change? I was going to write a post here the other day about the freaking r2d2 animated robot on the usps site that kept freezing up my computer but I didn't get around to it. Today the site is completely revamped into a Star Wars Promo site. Who else thinks that postage should go down instead of up if USPS is being supplemented by Big Business Advertising?

I get so frustrated with big websites, like USPS and Yahoo, that assume everyone has high speed internet. Now that I live out in the sticks, I'm on dial up, and just checking my email can take forever because of the stupid ads Yahoo runs at the top of the page.

It looks like they're doing it to promote a new Star Wars stamp they have coming out.

Marie, did you see the button at the right top of the page? Experience On/Off. Click off and it will go back to a more normal looking website (still with a Star Wars logo, though, and still taking forever to load).

Did you guys see they are also wrapping around 500 mailboxes all over the US to look like R2D2. What a waste of money$
 
Cool if George Lucas is paying for it, not so cool if we are. The rates are going up again really soon, did you guys see that?
 
hatfeathers, I know the rates are going up in May! A few months ago I was trying to get in depth information about the 'proposal' because I saw it on their website. Not even the postal worker knew about it! Ack!

I haven't read the final numbers yet, I'm off to find the info and see how I need to adjust my business. Ugh!
