I have this cute velvet bonnet, it looks to be hand made



Does anyone have any idea how to identify the date?

That looks like rayon velvet. I am having a memory that these had a vogue in the early - mid 50s -

From the side, it has that head hugging shape that makes me think 20s flapper, but the embellishment is much too simple.
I wonder if it could be a costume piece. Are the beads glass or plastic?

They are most likely plastic
& I was wondering about the item being a vintage costume piece, it does not look current
