I have this super sweet dress that I always thought was a Pulitzer, it has such a Pulitzer style print. It has no makers tag just a wash label but then I noticed these initials on the fabric. Any info much appreciated!
Thanks heaps,
Katie

Thanks for the link, Joules.

VG is one of those labels that is so hard to find good solid info on.

The doggie in the print was used quite often by the company, and he was even pictured on their hangtags.

For the non-Americans in our group:
The company was located in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, where George Washington and the Continental army holed up the winter of 1777-8 while the British were snug and warm in nearby Philadelphia. So the print is a depiction of sorts, of the events there, with the troops living in crude cabins. There was not a battle there, but the cannons just add to the historical flavor of it, and I'm guessing those are cherry trees, a symbol of Washington's integrity.

WOW! Thanks for that little bit of American history! Puts a whole new light on THAT dress! I thought those cabins were dog kennels...oops!
