Victorian and Edwardian clothing for sale from Spain

Not sure where to post this but here goes!

One of my excellent Ebay bidders emailed me the other day to let me know that her friend Teresa, who owns an antique and vintage clothing shop in Madrid called Europa Europa, is selling off a large portion of her collection.

Ruth emailed me photos of some of the things that Teresa is selling and they are GORGEOUS.
If anyone is interested, you may email Ruth and she will send you photos along with price lists (the prices are in Euros).
Please send me a U2U or email me at [email protected] and I will forward your request onto Ruth so she can get back to you.
Ruth also makes and sells clothing accessories like brooches, handbags, etc made from antique items and these are lovely too so be sure to ask to see photos of those too!

Wow.

Sounds very intriguing Lei, thanks for the heads up.

I wonder what victorian and edwardian fashion was like in Spain. I mean, i suppose they followed England somewhat and France was right there, but Spain and France et al are so so different in many ways.

I find Spanish clothing is as ornate as French clothing but with a slight Latino twist so things are a bit more "bold" for lack of a better word. I'm buying two corsets from Teresa and they follow the fashions of French corsets, very feminine and ornate.

You will have to show us when you get them :) (pretty please with sugar on top?)

I think i know what you mean about the bold...i always associate spanish dresses being loaded up just a bit more with intricate lace work, or there is something in the color contrast. Not tacky or garish, just very, like you say...bold.ornate

I will Chris :) I'm just trying to get the new stock done and out of the way and then I'll have some time to myself to takes photos of my new aquisitions :D I have a bunch that I have to take photos of for the Antique Corset Gallery so I shall post them here first!
