Victorian Baby ?

I have quite a few older clothing items and love them but it seems to be a mystery online to what things really are before 1920s.

I have this dress/slip for a baby/child.

What is the proper name for this item and time period perhaps?

What would be the proper closure also? I see no button hole.
I have fashion books and still cannot figure older items out.
It truly is a special niche in the clothing IMHO. Like hats.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I have seen this with a simple tie at the back of the neckline. So charming!
Can't say for sure but it looks either Victorian or Edwardian to me.

I call these slips but perhaps there is a more correct term.

They were also called under dresses.
