this one has a Western costume company tag (maybe both from there?) which I know means it could be harder to date? I wish the name was legible in case it's from a famous movie ;) same structure with a hook back and snaps below the waist. The bodice is seperated from the skirt, but sewn on with loose stitches

The Western Costume Company has been around for a long time and still exists. It's a rental house. If you need costumes for a movie, there you go. You could 'guess' the date from the materials used maybe but a lot of costumes, my experience, can be a meld of materials and other costumes.

My first impression was 1950's from the style of the dress and materials used. It is of course a costume depicting probably Victorian dress. It reminds me a lot of the dresses Grace Kelly wore in High Society (1956) with the fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline and sheer poet sleeves:

I played around a little with the label tag in Photoshop and got this:

It *looks* like Pat Moore to me. I'm more sure about the last name than the first ( which might be short for Patricia or similiar). I did find a Patricia Moore on the IMDB who could possibly fit the period but it looks a little early in her career to be having costumes made for her IMO.

We might be able to get a clearer image if you took a few more label shots specifically for reading the label, in different lights etc. with focus on it specifically.
