Ok help with one more please....

A friend brought this too me, she said she bought it in the late 80s or so...... When I first saw the shirt I thought 80s honestly... because it was in really good condition...

But it does seem alot older, but I don't feel its victorian? Super light and soft, no elastic but is stretchy overall... there may be an elastic type thread used in the sleeves but I can't determine for sure, because if it is older I dont want to pull at it.

It has hook and eyes up the back and a few snaps... all of which are shiny and there is one plastic snap.. perhaps a replacement snap? Either way, the plastic one has yellowed and is square, with a square center, So i am just stumped on the date.....

PLEASE HELP!

It's of Edwardian style but of course, could be reproduction, and the shiny snaps and plastic snap suggest that - in which case I would with '90s.

The trick would be to determine the fabric and construction. It looks like it could be cotton tulle, which has a bit of stretch - can you burn test it to see if it's pure cotton or a cotton/poly mix? What's the sewing like - overlocking or french seams? I would expect the latter, or a small seam allowance nicely sewn.

Tell me about the buttons: do they have metal or plastic shanks?

well... lol... i would love to answer you but when I went to my room to check it out it was gone... so she took it with her.. I will have to find out later....

Jennifer... and thank you

It looks real Edwardian to me - c. 1913 - 1915. The snaps are probably celluloid - I believe those are contemporaty, there were certainly celluloid snaps available by the 20s, but they might have been around as early as 1915ish.
