Vintage 1960s Courréges

I have been collecting vintage since I was 14 years old but I have never owned very many high-end labels.

However, I have recently bought a 1960s Courreges dress and I don't know how to distinguish the couture from the ready to wear. The dress is extremely well made and the label has a number on it.

I stumbled upon something similar, listed as a couture item, from 1965 on a 20th century collectibles auction website.

The fabric is a heavy wool with a slightly textured surface

weave.

I hope that someone will be able to give me some assistance in where to start with identifying this item.

I can't see pic or access the link.

If you are having trouble with posting a photo just search the boards for assistance - there are a ton of discussions on how to post.

Is it just me - can others access?

Thanks for the link. It is a very nice dress, From what I've read, Courreges did only couture until 1967, when he started the Couture Future line.

Your dress is adorable! And the approximate date would put it just within the timeframe Lizzie mentioned... But based on the photos at hand, I don't think anyone can tell whether it is or not. I know I can't!

Can you show some pics of the interior construction, a close up of the zipper placket, that sort of thing?
