I've come across what I am fairly certain is a vintage 1960s double knit coat with curly lamb trim. She has shortened sleeves stylistic of the 1960s as well as well as the looser swing shape and hidden pockets.
She is lined with red silk that is open at the hem with exception of a few places she's connected via threaded sections. There is also a cotton lining that is not open at the hem.
My concern - the Givenchy label you can see is hand stitched on quite sloppily. Is it possible the silk lining was replaced and so the label was hand-sewn back on?
I know you cannot authenticate, but if you can help shed any light on this coat I'd greatly appreciate it.
