There are so many cool looking old buildings, and they are everywhere. (I kind of have a weakness for wedge shape buildings - Come on, somebody upload a picture of the Flat Iron in NYC).

Do you have a favorite building or house? Are there some titillating bits of architecture in your city or town?

Here's one for you: Architects dressed as their buildings

From left to right: A. Stewart Walker as the Fuller Building, Leonard Schultze as the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, Ely Jacques Kahn as the Squibb Building, William Van Alen as the Chrysler Building, Ralph Walker as 1 Wall Street, D.E. Ward as the Metropolitan Tower (= Metropolitan Life Tower?), and Joseph H. Freelander as the Museum of the City of New York. At the ball held by the Society of Beaux-Arts Architects on January 13, 1931 at the Hotel Astor in New York City. The ball's theme was Fête Moderne: A Fantasie in Flame and Silver.
