Vintage Baby (Christening?) Items

I volunteer at a hospital thrift store once a week and occasionally they ask me to sell things for them on eBay. Someone brought in a box with assorted vintage gowns, blankets, pillow cases, etc for infants. Some are hand stitched, some are machine stitched. Some are made of that older finer flannel that I associate with earlier clothing.

I could spend hours listing each of these individually, but I honestly do not have the time. I’m thinking I’ll put the first gown and jacket up separately and list everything else as a lot.

Any suggestions how to describe these items to reach folks? Do the doll people look for these? Era?

Someone thought these might be kind of layettes that the church had on hand for christenings/ I also thought it might just be what was saved from a large family.

yes, Amanda, i agree with Chris, i've sold many of these to doll people, too, by far more to doll collectors than to folks with a christening coming up

the handstitched ones in particular are sought after; we've sold the machine stitched ones (quickly) for $35

Thanks for this! I've come across some fabulous baby items I've left behind because I wasn't sure how to sell them. Good to know that people are interested in them. PS I'm a sucker for baby items, too! Too adorable.
