Vintage Being Worn -

This is a photo of Pamela Skaist-Levy, co-founder of “Juicy Couture,” wearing a 20’s dress at a gallery opening in San Francisco. (She is with the artist, whose partner is Glenda Bailey, editor of Harper’s Bazaar.)

Looks a lot like she's wearing monkey fur, too.

I'm not really impressed with the overall look.......but to each their own, and all!

Very unimpressed with Juicy Couture. Apparently they pledged to stop using fur in their clothes by 2009, then turned up at their next launch in matching [very much REAL] fur coats. They'd made the pledge to stop PETA people protesting at their launch, then stick two fingers up at them by wearing real fur.

I can't believe my beloved Duran is married to one of them and WEARS Juicy stuff. Can't stand their clothes anyway, but the fur thing does my head in! :cursing:

Her outfit is overwrought in the accessorizing department. His outfit isn't much better.
I always think of that line from Amadeus when Saliari refers to Mozart's music has having 'too many notes'

Me, too, Amanda, the dress itself is beautiful, but all that black fussiness is really fighting with it.

Funny how the feathers on her hat must be tickling the bald head of the artist! He's bearing up admirably.

Wouldn't expect any different from a "designer" who's goal is to emblazon every young woman's ass on the planet with the word "Juicy".

Its all about class, baby.

Yes - and the ostrich feather to top it all off - more of a Halloween costume actually.

Thats exactly what I thought when I saw it, one of those pre-packaged "flapper" Halloween costumes.

Amadeus is like one of my favorite movies, ever.

Anmd I agree her outfit is way overdone, it's totally costume-y.

But happy to see vintage being worn by people who others might 'follow'.
