Vintage Bonwit Teller with Unknown Label 50's 60's ???

Below are pics of a beautiful dress with a Bonwit Teller label and a label that I think says "Nona Original New York". I can find absolutely no information on this designer. Also, can you date the Bonwit Teller label for me? One more thing: I should know this fabric, but its name escapes me. Please refresh my memory. Thanks!

Somewhere in the 50s to 60s vicinity, I'd imagine.
What brand is the zipper?

The zipper pull says "Talon".

I'll stick with the approximate dating, and once we have it narrowed down, perhaps you might submit that Bonwit Teller label to the Label Resource.

I found a couple of department store ads which mention Nona Originals, the earliest 1947, and the latest 1957

Bottom right of the page in the ad for AM Jensen.

The other is Los Angeles Times - Feb 15, 1957, but is pay per view so I can't see the ad.

Beautiful dress, love the color! I have a ca. mid 60s cocktail dress with the same Bonwit Teller label. I'd date your dress more to the 50s though.

Hi,

I recognized that same label as being on 2 of my hats from the 1950s. If that helps at all. The hats are sort of undistinguished and plain and I cannot date them more exact than just to say...mid 1950s. But they are definitely 1950s hats.

Nice dress, great color.
