vintage brooch/pin

I found this brooch in a thrift store and I am trying to figure out how old it is and what the engraving says. I swear it looks like it says Coco in cursive. There is also the registered trademark just in front of the engraving. Does anyone have a clue of what this says, who the maker is or how old this piece may be??

The clasp on the back with the little...I don't know the technical term...but with that little spinney doohickey thing...means its after the 50s. The older stuff has a different back clasp without the safety on it. (i know...I am tired...I probably will come up with a better name for it later)

This site may help. It often mentions the first appearance of a mark, but not necessarily an end date in most cases

The pin is not earlier than the late '50's and is probably from the '60's. The safety clasp used on this pin has not changed since the 1920's, so that's not a good way to date it.

The reasons other than style that we can date the pin to this period are:

The © (copyright mark) in front of the Coro was used after 1955. The back of the pin is textured. This type of finish was not used before the late '50's and the style of the pin looks very '60's to me.
