This was my Grandmother’s Coat who passed several years ago and my Dad recently gave it to me. Unfortunately, it is much too big on me, but I don’t know what size it is. I know it is an authentic Burberry and I’m pretty sure it’s from the 1980s and it’s a Men’s trench coat, but I am having difficulty identifying the style and size. I’ve read that the tag is in the pocket, but the only tag I see on this coat is under the “Burberrys” label and I can’t quite make out what it says. I’ve attached some pictures.

Size tag appears to say either a 52 Long or a 32 Long. What is the chest measurement when the coat is buttoned properly?
Thank you so much for your help! There are so many buttons on this coat, sooo I don’t know if I buttoned or measured correctly (I couldn’t find my soft measuring tape), but I tried to take some pictures. I also tried to measure the length of the coat. I don’t know what this converts to in the UK.
If you measure across the back, from underarm to underarm, that should help us ascertain the chest size.

From the looks of it, and from you saying that your grandmother wore it, I’m betting it is 32 long. That’s a fairly small size.
