Vintage but not clothing

I thought these shell figures were so great. One is in perfect condition - tiny shells make up a necklace around her neck and she is carrying a shell purse. I didn't realize, until I took the photo, that her head is mussel shells. The larger figure is a bride. Any idea of age or country of origin?

These are really adorable, what creative shell craft. I wonder if these might not have been crafted in the US by someone who was into making these to sell at a tourist area, as the face reminds me a bit of the old Victorian porcelain dolls with the painted faces and these could very well be quite old as well. I do have some shell dolls myself but I can't get to them right now. Mine are definitely Victorian.

It would be logical that these would be from an island vacation spot but something about the face does not have me seeing that.

Thanks Marty - I did have a search on eBay going - but it was for "vintage shell" - not "vintage seashell" ! So I never saw that one.

I started with dolls and have alot. I had never seen anything like these. Very cute.
