I recently had an auction ended by ebay. It was an authentic vintage chanel belt from the 80s.
Off i went and got the item confirmed genuine in the Chanel boutique- they also dated it for me. Then I relisted it and explained that the item had been ended as a fake even though it was genuine.
I have had two emails from people who have had a similar experience. Anyone got any idea how you can cnfirm that your item is the real thing. It seems especially impossible with Louis Vuitton. Anyone with any bright ideas?
I thought starting at a high price- but I hate doing that!! My theory was that the people protecting brand names also don't want to see thier items going too cheaply.
Oh well.... Hope someone out there has got all the answers!Vanessa
