Hello Everyone,

I have a client who would like to sell her Vintage Chanel wool boucle. If anyone is interested or has any ideas of where she would be best selling this please let me know. You can contact me if you like. Here is what she has to say about it.

"The wool measures 56" wide by 6 yards and 24" inches or 6 2/3 yds. That's more than enough for a suit with long jacket, skirt and a 3/4 length coat. It is soft enough too for a structured dress.

It's a very light, spring-weight fabric and the weave is just stunning.

I purchased it in 1985 from London Fabrics in Austin, TX and it was about 30 years old at that time. They are known for exceptional fabrics, laces and trims. The price on the bolt was $60 or $70/yard and that was the original price from the 60's! (they were also known for never putting anything on sale) While the bolt was labeled Chanel, the fabric is not.

It is, of course, pure wool and has been properly stored in an archival box. There is no odor--no moth balls, no cedar, no smoke, no pet."

Here are a few photos.
