Vintage Claralura Cocktail coat

Can anyone tell me what the value of this coat might be? I've searched online and can't find too many coats from Claralura although there are tons of dresses. I love this coat but it's been sitting in my closet for over 7 years now and I've only worn it once. I think someone else would get more use out of it. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks so much! Ashley

Welcome to our forums awiggin! The VFG doesn't provide evaluations or pricing suggestions as many factors influence price. It's a super coat though and love those fox cuffs!
 
Is there any helpful information about the era the cost would have been made and the company? In guessing late 50s early 60s but I'm pretty clueless.

I vote for the 60s too and you can see the ad has a price of $80 which is like $600 today but prices then are incomparable to today. Clothing has actually become cheaper to produce. The label isn't a big name but the coat is certainly special. Yours looks like a swing clutch coat to me so perhaps you could do a search for similar coats by other makers and add extra to the price for the fox cuffs. Fur can be a catch-22; most buyers dislike fur these days but since it's only on those cuffs which simply make the coat, don't think it'll be an issue for you.
 
I found one other clutch coat but it was sold in 2010 lol. The fur is in such great condition to that's another reason I had to scoop this from the thrift store.
 
That's only because clutch is not used often as a keyword. Eliminate it and search again for vintage swing or evening coat, there are hundreds for sale I'm sure though I doubt many look like yours - what a beauty! Some of the coats you find will likely have come with matching dresses originally but I'm not sure if yours did given the ad Lynne so kindly posted but as you said, there are also Claralura dresses for sale so it's a possibility.
