Vintage Clothing New Paper Dolls

Just sharing an article I read this morning online in the Maine paper while :icon_dante:

New life for old stars as dolls grow up
Kingfield's Jenny Taliadoros has turned classic Hollywood styles into a paper doll publishing business.

Jenny Taliadoros is used to peeking inside other women's closets, but even she was not prepared for what she saw in Phyllis McGuire's Las Vegas home.

McGuire, one-third of the famous McGuire Sisters trio, had filled her master bedroom with 100 mannequins wearing clothes from top fashion designers of the 1940s, '50s and '60s. Taliadoros, coming from the little Maine town of Kingfield, couldn't believe her eyes.

Which made me google to find some more pics.

I don't collect paper dolls though I loved them as a kid and always check the old ones out if I come across them.

I'm sure these are collected by adults but it's kind of nice to think some kids may be reintroduced to some classic vintage fashions along the way too.

oooooh!! great resources, Karen, thank you!! i've got a couple of paper dolls that i just can't bear to part with (yet), and this inspires me to dig them out again...

can you IMAGINE, though?? walking into a BEDroom w/ a 100 mannies all dressed in period outfits??? wowowow!!!!
 
Phyllis was famously the mistress of Sam Giancana, the Vegas mobster. Quite the shocker, as she and her sisters were the fave wholesome girl group of WWII.
