What do you think?

When I look at this ashtray, I see late 60s to 70s.
But when I search them on ebay, almost all of them say Eames Era.

I remember this color. It was right up there with that nasty avacado green & mustard, eewwww.

Thanks!

The trouble is, most people will see that boomerang shape and just automatically throw Eames on it, no matter what.
I have a home made one of similar style that has 1976 scratched in the back.
I would use boomerang as a KW, though.

I have a green & orange similar one, and I think mine is early to mid 70s--boomerang and atomic are good KW! I love ashtrays from the late 50s into the mid 70s--they were works of art.

they were doing mod into the 70's... I have some lamps that are from 70's but of mod design... They were still building bi level houses then....

I did some hunting around yesterday because I really don't know how to determine if your ashtray is '50's or '70's. I found one '50's one that was sold that is about the same color as yours but not exactly the same shape.

I do remember that orange color - along with avocado, harvest gold and that awful dark brown. These colors were used in the late '60's and early '70's in interiors. Fortunately not by everyone - LOL.
