Vintage Dior Suit with coins sewn on lining

I have a Vintage Dior with label "Christian Dior "The Suit" Saks Fifth Avenue" on the jacket and skirt. On the inside bottom of the back a the jacket there are 4 silk tabs with what feels like coins sewn in there. It does not look like they were added. Has anyone ever heard of this? I was wondering if I should cut the coins out but I do not want to devalue the suit. Anxious for replies. Thank you.

Those are dress weights, probably made of lead. Do not remove them! These are often found in couture quality suit jackets such as Chanel and Dior, and serve to make the jacket hang correctly when worn.

Thank you...Does the label "The suit" help date the suit?

I think "The Suit" is a relatively newer label, as in 80s, 90s or later. If you could post a photo of the suit and the label that would help.
