Vintage dressing gown - 1950s?

I found this lovely red dressing gown with a metal zipper up the front. I'm thinking it's 1950s, but wanted to confirm. Thanks!

Lovely fabric, looks like the kind of wool they used when making men's scarves.

I would agree with 50s on this one.

I am sure some other members will weigh in on it as well.
