I have been searching forever for this cardigan. I have seen a few small ones but never a medium to large. Preferable large. 42-44 with sleeve length at least 21.0 inches.
Mint condition or very nice. In best world scenario cashmere and high end name.
(Emerald green), not forest, army, lime, olive etc. :dogs:

1950s or so. Thank you in advance for any help. Sandy

Do you have a photo, Sandy? (You can attach one photo per post from your hard drive, or as many as you like to a single post by copying & pasting the IMG code from your photo-hosting service).

No, I have not seen it yet. I am looking for any of this type. I did see a small one once at ebay and drooled so this is why I have been looking for it. Not even sure it is possible or out there. I may eventually give up and get someone to make me one. Not sure how that would work either. Somehow for last at least 4 Christmases I have searched for it. I collect vintage beaded cardigans and some sweater guards for myself.

I have an 50s/early 60s emerald green cardigan that might be the right size (I'd need to measure it), but the beadwork is white glass. Would that be of interest?

As I remember, it is lambswool with a touch of angora, that classic 50's blend. Let me know if you are interested, and I will find and measure it for you, and post a quick photo or two. :camera:

Sure. I am a bit picky though on this one.
Thanks.
May need to email me. I don't want anyone nabbing it. :puzzled::clapping:

Hi Sandy,

I measured mine: 41" flat bust with 21.5" sleeves. It is emerald green with a sort of basket weave of white glass beading (not a lot of heavy beadwork--just a bit) around the neck and sleeve cuffs. It is a longer length, falling to the high hip I'm guessing, probably from the 1960s. From the underarm to the hem is 14", where it measures 35" flat. If this is of interest, let me know, and I can take some photos.

I did end up buying my annual cardigan from Amy and loved it. Even wrote about it on my blog.
Here is the green cardigan:
Now I am on the lookout for a Snow White beaded vintage cardigan.
I am really disappointed about the sweaters I am able to find now online. I think people must be hoarding them or something.
Same size:

Lovely green sweater! I do have this beauty in my Artfire shop, completely beaded in a checkerboard design, but the bust is 39.5", so a wee bit smaller than the measurements you posted.

Thank you Maggie. Yes, I have seen yours and it is devine but too small for me.
I have done this for about 6 years now. Treat myself.
I will eventually find it or possibly another color that speaks to me.

Sandy, I have 3 white cashmere cardigans, but I'm not sure if all 3 are beaded. One is divine, and is all beaded--but I have to measure it. I think it's a tad too small. I think one is the right size, but can't remember if it's beaded or not. And the other one is gorgeous--with a removable fur collar and rhinestone buttons on the cuffs. I'll take a look at all 3 today and see if anything might be suitable!

Hi,

I have a 1950s hand beaded cardigan, ivory with snow white beading. Size is about a medium-large. Beading is glass and there is a lot of it, front and back. Excellent condition. I am not sure if it is cashmere, but it is very soft. If you have an interest I can dig it out.

Anne, I saw one on your site but also too small I think.
Glamour Girl on RL sold one with overlay that is gorgeous but also was too small for how I like to wear them.
Sure Barbara.

Sandy, the one I have listed isn't one of the ones I was talking about--none of those are listed yet, and all 3 are larger than the one with the sequined front. I'm just about positive one of them is the right size, but I can't recall if it's the plain one. I'm going down later today into my inventory and will check!
