Vintage equestrian jacket

Styles for equestrian jackets seem to have changed little over the years. Anyone willing to take a guess at the age of this hacking jacket? A search of the label brings up nothing helpful. The fabric is a lightweight cotton plaid, it is partially lined in an olive satin. Machine and hand-stitched. Exposed seams have a turned-under finish.

I love the label!

agree w/Carrie @ colorway and plaid... would say late 50s, or early 60s

as far as the state abbreviation on the tag/dating...it is very possible they bought a huge pile/box of tags all at once, and used them for years, which could explain a 50s tag on a 60s garment.

love that jacket; it should do well for you.

Great jacket! As for the state abbreviation, people still use those from time to time, even today. It's just the postal service that doesn't. You'll see "Penn." for Pennsylvania, "Fla." for Florida. Just not on an envelope.
