Vintage Givenchy??

I'm almost scared to ask the question because I so want this to be authentic :) but can anyone date and/ or comment on authenticity of this garment? Seems pretty legit to me with the logo, quality of the sweater, metal zipper etc. Logo looks similar to what I've seen on the Givenchy label resource however the block letters are not colored in. There is an RN number and another 2 digit number on the back of the tag that makes me wonder. Input appreciated!

We cannot authenticate as per the forum rules, but your jumper reminds me of a zip front jacket I had (by Pilot, incidentally) perhaps in the late 90s-early 2000s.
It would help to see any care label information if it has one.

Thanks for your reply. No care label but I see small pieces of white fabric sewn under the brand label which leads me to believe it used to be there, not on the side of the garment. Does that help?

Not really :) If you can make out the full RN number you can search the government database to see who it is for - it may be an importer or manufacturer and from that you can gain more info about it.

Are you sure that's a metal zipper? It looks like nylon from you photos. Which would still be fine. This type of sweater would have had a nylon or plastic zipper from the 1960s on. Maybe even late 50s.
