Vintage Gucci 6800 Bamboo Bangle Watch

I have been asked to consign a watch by a co-worker on my site. She claims it is an 'antique' Gucci 6800 Bamboo watch given to her as a gift from a friend in Montreal in 1988. I have guidelines on how to authentic Gucci watches but these bangle watches have different features and I cannot find a guideline for them. She said she took it to Antiques Roadshow when it came through Vancouver and it was appraised at $5,000. Here are some photo's. (Link removed by the Administration)

The back of the watch says MOD. BREV, 925, ITALY, and possibly a serial number ending in 001

Lovely watch. Unfortunately, we are unable to authentic an item from photographs. Your best bet would be do have it authenticated by a professional who deals in high-end jewelry, in person.

Actually I was looking for an authenticate guideline for bangles, wristlets, or whatever this bracelet watch is called. A website link? A forum that specializes in vintage jewelry? I am aware that there is no authenticating done from photographs here.
